Calming Cards are designed to help you teach your child calming techniques.
Calming strategies include Deep Breathing, Muscle Relaxation, Grounding, Visualisation, Yoga and Mindfulness.
We use these breathing and relaxation techniques on a regular basis with William, and we love these cards as a visual way to identify each feeling and emotion they are facing.
Not only are these great for children with ASD / Autism, ADHD or anxiety, they are great for all children to learn how to be in control and stay calm when the world isn't behaving how they want.
Calming Cards can be used in a variety of contexts, including:
- A calming corner (or calming space) in your home
- When travelling or on holidays
- Calming activities before bed
- Day Care Centres
